The Inclusive Community (I-Community) Programme

The overall objective of the programme is poverty reduction through pro-poor, employment-rich economic growth and sustainable development, aimed at creating greater social cohesion. The specific objectives are to support employment creation initiatives through the creation of an enabling environment for economic growth and development, giving previously disadvantaged communities better access to financial resources, including trade related assistance to develop capacity to address bottlenecks to trade, improving the skills base of individuals within rural communities and promoting their entrepreneurial skills development to support employment creation. The programme facilitates a collaborative and cooperative strong base platform for an ecosystem of partnerships on which all stakeholders contribute to the improvement of the lives of the people acting in a coordinated manner resulting in optimal impact to communities.
