The ICT Institute Programme

The long term strategic objective of the programme is to produce scarce critical ICT skills in terms of societal and economic needs. Its target is the skill gap between the current training institutions and the one required by the market and the provincial economy – job ready skills. The programme aims to bridge the digital divide by improving the ICT skills levels of the citizens and communities at large for participation in the global economy, enhancing their educational opportunities resulting in reduced poverty and job creation. The purpose of the ICT institute is to bridge the digital divide by improving the ICT skills levels, reduce poverty, create jobs and wealth, and service the ICT needs of the existing businesses and the public sector.
